Medium 75cm plant option of a rustic style bark plant pot.

Monstera Deliciosa

Origin

Monstera is from Central America (Mexico) and belongs to the Araceae family. This plant is also known by the Dutch name, hole plant. In England it is know as a Cheese Plant. The plant thrives well under very moist conditions: the more humid the environment, the larger the leaf. But this plant can also withstand somewhat drier air.

Care

The Monstera likes a lot of light or partial shade but no direct sunlight.
The ideal air temperature 18 - 22 ° C. and it doesn't like drafts.

Water

Keep moist, add lukewarm water once a week, potting soil must not dry out.
Spray with water once a week.
Fertilize a little once every two weeks, once every two months in winter.

The leaves of a young plant show incisions, later holes appear in the older leaves. This does not happen if the plant is too dark. Wipe dull leaves with a dash of milk on a cotton bud. Air roots that are formed on older plants may be cut off.
