A cross is a traditional choice of funeral tribute. They come in several different sizes the smallest being 3ft and then increasing up to 6ft. There are different ways the cross can be outlined, a popular way is edged with coloured ribbon, my personal preference is a foliage edge. There are also different ways the flowers are used, massing is the traditional way (this is where one type of flower is used to create the shape), a loose style is more natural where flowers are arranged loosely with foliage and more contemporary styles are becoming popular as they do not use as many flowers and are not as expensive.  Cushions and pillows can also be massed with chrysanthemums, hydrangea, gypsophila or moss or designed with loose flowers.   Many designs are possible using different flowers and colour schemes.
