Becky & Richards Easter Wedding at Sandhole Oak Barn, Congleton, Cheshire
Becky & Richards wedding on Easter Monday was unique experience for the Wild & Wondrous Team. We don't often get a chance to all work together on a wedding project. The shop was closed due to the bank holiday, which gave us a chance to all work on site as a team. Plus Becky's ideas and brief for the wedding flowers were very exciting. Pretty enchanted woodland, lots of foliage, ferns and twig with a few white flowers.
We decided to take pictures throughout the day and i'm so glad we did!
It was an early start, 6.30am. Van packed by 7.15, packing a van is an art! Fuel and Costa Coffee all round, on the motorway by 8. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures of this.
We started on our woodland garland using mostly foliage with a variety of texture; ruscus, asparagus fern, and limey green trailing amaranthus with twisted twig to create our very own woodland. We added large white hydrangeas and beautifully scented white David Austin roses and blossom added a delicate white throughout.
We created smaller versions on the corner beams inside the barn, both assembled whilst the stunning grand piano was tuned! Extreme floristry!!
The aisle became an enchanted walkway with floating candles, tealights in a bed of moss and bark lanterns all assembled on wooden logs.
By the lake Megan really enjoyed making the large arrangements at the end of the aisle.
The theme was mirrored in the table centres; miniature forests in stone bowls filled with mosses, bark, silvery branches, textured ferns and pretty mini orchids sprouting out of the greenery. Sunken tealights made the magical woodlands come to life. This was Lauren's project and I loved the attention to detail.

I can't wait to get pictures from the photographer of the bridal party, we foolishly didn't get any! Lauren took a good picture of me focused on making Becky's bouquet. I didn't want to make this too early as ferns don't last long when cut. I choose to make it on site! I'd been thinking about the design for weeks. Wild but delicate and neat!
I used a bouquet holder for the first time in 20 years! It worked really well, The ferns, contorted hazel, jasmine, lullaby roses, veronica, amaranthus and spiraea and mini orchids each had there own space with in the design.
I will add some proper pictures when I get them from the photographer.

Sorry this is a little delayed. I just wanted to say an enormous thank you for all your hard work and efforts over the last few months.
I know you and the three girls worked tirelessly on Monday, and the result was just perfect. Despite a difficult brief, you absolutely nailed it, and genuinely I couldn't have asked for a more perfect interpretation. My bouquet - well - I wouldn't throw it because I loved it so much!
I loved the button holes as well, and the porch entrance was better than I could have hoped for.
Thank you for creating such a wonderful setting for our special day and helping to make it the incredible event it was.
